Thankful !

I choose to be thankful today. I choose it because it's the right thing to do when you are sitting comfortably in a transport vehicle with a book in your hand, almost dozing off, and an elderly lady knocks at your window from the outside, asking if you would like to buy a pen or two. I hear the driver sigh and mumble something about life being unfair; I already know it's unfair when, at an age as young as mine, I haven't seen half the troubles that lady must be seeing now when she's old and gray. How much can I help her with my limited resources? I'd rather buy something from her and keep her pride than to offer charity and crush what is still left of her self respect.

I want to find the reasons why God blesses some and leave out some. There has to be a reason, I just can't be boggled down with a 'God-is-so-unfair' and 'deal-with-it' factor! If I keep faith in God's generosity and remain thankful, He will show me the answers.

If it weren't for days like you, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy my leisure time half as much as I do now....
