Someone once told me that I wasn't the "whole package" because I don't have a hour glass figure and being a good person wasn't good enough... I believed him, and I actually strived to be that "whole package" ~
Our ancestors left us to believe that beauty lay in the eye of the beholder. I beg to differ, because they obviously were lucky enough not to have lived in the appearance-obsessed times that we live in.
Who doesn't want to look beautiful? Every girl does. And it is her right to want to look her best. Nobody can take that away. However, the sheer commercialization of beauty, of what beauty stands for and how has the definition of beauty changed is something that is worth thinking about.
Agreed that these things have been around forever, but since when did we become so obsessed with this phenomenon that we ourselves altered the definition of what 'beauty' stands for?I am not saying that wanting to be slim is bad, but yes, starving yourself almost to the extent that your bones start showing is unhealthy and stupid... Do it 'coz you'll feel healthy and happy~
All of us may not be natural beauties, but we all have our features which make us beautiful in our own way.
I may not be the so called "whole package" .....cause I am a whole lot more ...**smiles**
A shout out to all my Mamacitas ..... You are beautiful. Please don't let anyone tell you differently ~
